Rimini Exhibition Centre: Calendar of Events 2010-2011

Designed in 2001, Rimini’s new exhibition centre is a venue that hosts some of the most important events and happenings in Italy. A benchmark for conference tourism for the entire Riviera of Romagna, Rimini Exhibition Centre is highly technological and extremely user-friendly. From an organisational point of view, it is situated on a single level and has three entrances, connected via shuttle bus and bus services, meaning that more than one event can be hosted at the same time. Figures relating to the exhibition centre are extremely impressive - a surface area of 169,000 m², of which 109,000 m² dedicated to exhibition space, 16 halls including air-conditioned and black-out ones, 20 modular conference rooms and 3 press rooms. There’s also a car park with 11,000 parking spaces, all of which are fitted with facilities for campers too. There are a number of refreshment points in the exhibition centre, as well as 2 restaurants. The exhibition centre is easy to reach as it is just a few kilometres from the A14 motorway exits of Rimini Sud and Rimini Nord, as well as Federico Fellini International Airport. It also has an internal railway station on the Milan-Bari route.
Lots of events are held at the exhibition centre all year round. In October 2010, the calendar of events includes the trade fairs Sun and Giosun, from 14 to 16, a salon that hosts the world’s main producers of design, technology and solutions for outdoors and an outdoor toys and games fair respectively. The following weekend, from 22 to 24, the exhibition centre will simultaneously host TTG Incontri, TTI and Bus&Turismo; the first two events focus on tourism development in our country, creating a point of contact between all intermediaries and insiders, whilst the third focuses on the situation relating to companies that operate in the bus and coach travel sector. A total of 4 events are due to be hosted In November. From 3 to 6, Ecomondo and Key Energy deal with environmental aspects, aiming to highlight the importance of energy recovery, sustainable development and mobility and the regeneration of printing materials. Companies operating in the sector have the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and create points of contact for new and effective business developments.
From 20 to 23 November, Rimini Exhibition Centre will host Sia Guest, the hospitality salon and a leading event in the hotel sector. The year closes with the Justice Salon, from 2 to 5 December.
This is an event that illustrates everything the competent authorities are doing in order to guarantee legality and security for citizens. January 2011 is dedicated to all greedy visitors opening with the 32nd edition of the International Artisan Ice-Cream, Confectionery and Bakery Salon, which will be held from 22 to 26. During the same period, the centre will also host SiGift, the Bonbonnière, Confectionery, Decoration and Gifts Salon. From 19 to 22 February the exhibition centre will host 5 events simultaneously: MIA, the international food show that presents all the latest culinary trends, Pianeta Birra, dedicated to beverages and companies that produce beer, MSE Mediterranean Seafood Exhibition, which presents the latest fishing technologies and products, and finally, Oro Giallo and DiVino Lounge, events that focus respectively on two of the most important products in Italy’s food and wine heritage - oil and wine.
Another four events are planned from March to May 2011: from 16 to 19 March the centre hosts Enada Primavera, the International Amusement and Gaming Show, from 1 to 3 April My Special Car Show is a Special and Sports Car Exhibition dedicated to the customizing and tuning of standard cars, from 12 to 15 May the centre hosts Rimini Wellness, a traditional event dedicated to fitness, wellness and sport that also marks the start of the summer season on the Riviera of Romagna and finally, there’s SportDance, the Italian Sport Dance Championships, a discipline that each year experiences an increase in the number of both amateur and competitive athletes enrolling with an association or practicing the sport.
